Project Description

FR Contractors and Investors recently took on an exciting project in a high-end neighborhood off Charles Street in Baltimore. Over two days, our skilled team repaired and repainted the sunroom ceiling and trim after a tree fell through the roof, causing significant damage. Using top-quality Sherwin-Williams paints, we gave the room a seamless and fresh finish that perfectly matched the existing colors, bringing the sunroom back to its former glory.

Background/Story:

The homeowners in Woodbrook were surprised when a tree fell through their roof, damaging the ceiling and trim of their sunroom. They needed a contractor who could fix the structural issues and restore the room’s charm. That’s when they turned to FR Contractors and Investors.

From the start, we knew this interior painting project would require careful attention to detail. The homeowners loved their sunroom, and it was crucial for us to match the original design while repairing the damage. We started with repairing the ceiling and trim, then prepped the surfaces for painting. Our goal was to bring back the room’s bright and welcoming atmosphere without leaving any trace of the accident.

Scope of Services:

  • Ceiling and Trim Repair: We repaired the damaged ceiling and trim, ensuring a smooth surface for the final paint application.
  • Priming: The repaired areas were primed to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Caulking and Preparation: Nail holes were covered, and all cracks were caulked as needed to achieve a seamless appearance.
  • Painting: Applied two full coats of Sherwin-Williams Pro Mar Ceiling Paint in White for the ceiling. The trim received two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Gloss, expertly color-matched to the existing shade.

Paints/Products Used:

  • Sherwin-Williams Pro Mar Ceiling Paint, Color: White for ceiling
  • Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Gloss, matched to the old existing color for trim

Results:

In just two days, we transformed the damaged sunroom back into a beautiful, relaxing space. The ceiling and trim now look flawless, seamlessly blending with the rest of the room. The homeowners were thrilled with the result and appreciated our attention to detail, particularly how we perfectly matched the trim color. The project not only restored the room’s aesthetics but also ensured its durability for years to come. With a project cost between $3,000 and $4,000, the homeowners felt they received excellent value for a high-quality restoration.
