FR Contractors and Investors completed a full exterior painting project in the Cedarcroft neighborhood of Baltimore, MD. Over three working days, we gave this home’s exterior a fresh look, painting all the wood surfaces, including the front door, window sills, and trim.
We also tackled some unexpected rotted wood—filling smaller spots with wood epoxy and replacing a larger section of the window sill. After prepping and repairing, we applied one coat of primer and two full coats of paint using high-quality Sherwin-Williams products. The end result? A durable, clean finish that will last for years.
Background / Story:
The homeowner found us on Google, though we had worked on the house across the street the year before. The husband reached out, and after discussing the project through text and a phone call, we scheduled the job. Our main task was to refresh all the wooden surfaces on the home, but during prep, we discovered a few spots with significant wood rot. One area was small enough to fill with wood epoxy, but for the larger spot, we replaced the entire window sill. With the repairs handled, we were able to proceed with the exterior painting.
Scope of Services:
- Exterior Painting & Trim Painting: We applied Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Semigloss in Extra White to all trim and wood surfaces, including window sills and the door trim, giving the home a sharp, clean look.
- Entrance Door Painting: The front door was painted with McCormick State House Semi-Gloss in Farm Red House, adding a rich, inviting touch to the entryway.
- Wood Repairs and Replacement: After scraping off the old paint, we repaired rotted wood in various places, filling smaller sections with wood epoxy and fully replacing the large window sill.
- Window Painting: The two windows were also carefully painted, ensuring the wood framing was restored to match the new trim and door.
